Helping Hands - horseback riding part I

What a difference volunteers can make. Each week on Helping Hands, we join two people on an adventure across the country in order to help those in need through a volunteer activity.

At the center of this show are outgoing, compassionate and hardworking volunteers-a different group each week-who share their time, effort, and enthusiasm in a day long community-service project to reach out to their communities and the world beyond.

Some of the volunteer activities may include: Helping the disabled organize their houses or go shopping Going to a nursing home to visit residents and brighten their day Cleaning up parks Building houses for the poor Serving food for the homeless Aside from the main activity, volunteers also go through a training process and an in-studio interview with the requirement of an additional days commitment.
