Playing Bobby Valentin's "El Jibaro Y La Naturaleza"

Playing a Palatino VE-500 electric upright bass through a MarkBass Combo amp.

Note, I'm not an upright bass player. I'm dabbling with upright with my electric bass technique. But, it's fun to try new things. I'm a drummer, timbalero, conguero, bata, bongo, and electric bass player. I don't have the time to practice formal upright technique...so...this is the most I'll do.

To respond to both of you guys, I don't have the palatino anymore. I only made the modifications recommended on the TalkBass.com forum (go there, join up, and look for Palatino VE-500 megathread). I think it's usually 650.00 or so...you can find good ebay or craigslist deals. I personally didn't like the action on it...but then again, I didn't have a very good setup...probably that would have fixed it. I sold it and bought a NS Design Wav 4...which I LOVE!

I want one of these. Great playing, and awesome sound! How do you like the bass? Have you modified it at all?
