Billions of dollars have been raised through the tireless efforts of women and men devoted to putting an end to breast cancer. Yet, breast cancer rates in North America have risen to 1 in 8. "What's going on?" asks Barbara Brenner in Pink Ribbons, Inc. a new film now playing across Canada.

This feature documentary visits some of the massive fundraising runs and questions where the money goes and asks 'who really profits from pink ribbon campaigns?'. We meet women with metastatic breast cancer from the IV League support group of Austin, Texas who openly tell us their stories.

i watched this doc in Netflix and although the documentary was intriguing and opened my eyes to a few things, i didn't buy the opposition completely...until the next day, as I was jogging, I come to see the new ad for 5 hour energy Pink Lemonade...and then I was mostly convinced and pretty much disgusted to my core.

Sorry that I missed this film. It was shown locally while my mother was dying of breast cancer. It is such an ugly disease and so painful. Please....stop the madness. There is nothing pink or pretty about this disease.

I hope someday to see a documentary like this about Autism Speaks.

I wondered the same thing. I really want to learn more about this before I pay money to watch it.

It is a tremendous mistake to judge any program by its intentions instead of its results. For all the "awareness" that's raised, for all the money spent, have we really made any sort of progress towards prevention or curing breast cancer or any cancer for that matter?

Why can't every cancer be recognized? I don't get it. We need the gold, the gray, the red, the orange, etc.

Ive felt this way about the Pink circus that spends less of a percentage of their funds raised every year on R&D for nearly a decade now. I watched my wife forced year after year to spend money by her Beauty Industry Source owner to participate in the walks and drives, it was a racket.

Nearly all diseases can be cured with getting all the essential minerals in one's diet. Cancer, Arthritis, heart disease, etc...they are all the same disease. Read some of Joel Wallach's research to find information your MD will not tell you. By the way I have told a number of women that the breast cancer walk is a complete scam. Good day to all.
