ok on wikipedia it says "Urban Outfitters originated as "The Free People's Store" in 1970 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, focusing on "funky" fashion and household products. Shortly thereafter the owner and now Chairman, Richard Hayne, changed the name to Urban Outfitters." So yes i was right.

I love Free People more than Anthropologie. It's one of my fav brands. Free People makes Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters and if I'm not mistaken was the first brand of the company. They have another brand too, not sure what it is but it's the most expensive of them all, and I thought free people was, free people is even more outrageous than anthropologie!

Hi Anna! This is why I love clothes from Europe because the quality is usually much better than ours here in America.
