How much are you familiar with the genocides?
* What do you think are the roles of the United Nations Peacekeeping Operations (UNPKO)?
BEfore the genocide I saw them as a buffer between the 2 parties... facilitating interaction between the 2 sides... and communicating to both sides that the Int community is interested and ready to support peace.
* Please define the term peace in your own words.
social, economic as well as physical safety
* What do you think is the peace that the UNPKO says?
Pretty much physical
* What are your opinions on UNAMIR? Do you consider the missions as a success or a failure? Why?
Really appreciated the men on the ground... They wer given orders for one mission and yet dressed for what appeard another mission...protect themselves... false sense of security... Huge failure

* In general, do you think UNPKO is efficient? What are the factors/reasons that make you think so?
