i grow up there and all i can say throw 1981 to 1994 it was the best place to live and safe yes, i miss living there but to look at it know its sad how could the people let all this happen, growing up if you had trash you get ride of it.

Haha..this is a block away from where I got my hair cut for 15 years (at Samir's) before I moved to North Carolina.
I lived in Cicero for 10 years...it has a bad reputation, and it does have it's crime, but any Chicago suburb will have it's criminal element. To be frank, I felt safer in Cicero, than I do out in the country were people leave their doors unlocked!
All in all, I miss living in the Cicero/Berwyn/Oak Park area, where I lived for 30+ years and would move back in a heartbeat...
