This is an awesome vid
I just got a mosin for $89 at big5 on sale haven't gotten to shoot it Yet but I got most of the cosmoline out
Also some say the shorter stocks are like that for the thicker winter jackets that the Russians wore gave them a better length of pull.

@NeverEnuffAmmo thanks i was almost sure thats what you meant just wanted to make sure.last year i was lucky enough to fire both 7.62 and 5.56 into a balistic gel dummy and the 5.56 caused more damage.apparently the bullets i had are designed to tumble once they hit the target causeing much more internal damage. . amazing and gruesome the methods we scheme up for harming eachother. But thanks for the video its really helped me with my decision! keep on doing what your doing!

Hey, Just curious ( first time buyer)
Im from canada getting my pac in a few weeks. Im very interested in this gun for all of its merits and of course its affordability. now not sure if its a bad question but in the video you said it was nearly identical ( 7.62) to a 308 so does that mean a 308 would fit in it? Also would you say that the ammo is still quite easily available? and affordable. not sure how different the market is up here in canada though

@MrStonewall92 Its balisticaly nearly identical to the .308, so basically the damage it inflicts is nearly identical damage. The .308 round would not work in this rifle though

A mosin nagant was my first rifle it's a great gun to buy for a teenager.
