Thanks for the kind words. I saw that scene on our way out through Hotchkiss and made sure I had the shot framed up on our way back.

@tutkal2010 Dr. Bill's trucks were sold in 2005 to a member of the American Truck Historical Society I believe.

So he has a 15 Speed (5 speed main box with a three speed auxiliary) but he is shifting it like a 9 speed. Is that correct?

@bulldog0046 It was a long time ago that I shot this footage, but there wasn't much weight on the trailer that day, so he might have been starting out in second in the main and first in the splitter, or the other way around.
He might also be skipping a combination that only gains a couple of hundred rpm's.
Bill did a video with me some years later on Trucks with 2 Sticks.

Just curious, what is he a doctor of? Medical, science? Just wondering- But that man should have a doctorite in driving!!!! Id sell my soul to see him (or any of the Old Pros) take that truck to any DMV for a road test w/ some punk-ass instructor- just to see if they have the gaul to tell him- "You did this wrong, you did that wrong..." God bless the Old Pros- We miss them, and we need them back!

@lugger2010 Dr. Bill was a dentist in Aspen Colorado. He put himself through medical school in the 50's driving tractor trailers. He passed away in 2005 from cancer.
I was proud to call Bill my friend.
