Hi Zaida, its great that you and your ladies are still belly dancing (and a gentleman i think; i haven't got my glasses on so hope i have not offended someone). How wonderful! I am 45 and teach mostly younger people but would also like to teach older people and am looking at your videos to get an idea of what i can do with them. I don't want to do something too energetic for them. You are all wonderful ... keep up the good work :O)

@aaliyahraks Thanks for your very encouraging comments. THANK YOU!
The man is my husband Mike - he has been dancing with my group ever since I started teaching in 2001. He is 77 this year.
I choose slower tunes and most of my choreography includes free interpretation so the women can learn to dance for themselves and also leave out the moves they find difficult - like the Egyptian Walk ~cackle~

My mom should do this.

@Katiethedil Yes, encourage her all you can. One of my dancers was diagnosesd with leukemia two years ago and the chemo really knocked her. Then she discovered belly dance and she is improving rapidly. Her breathing, her balance, her stamina, her general health, but mainly her attitude. She is now HAPPY!
