Sh. Salih al-Fawzan - Labeling oneself "Salafi", "Atharee" etc.

This audio is for those who act as if Dawat-us-Salafiyyah is a sect, and call towards sectarianism. In doing so, they are damaging Dawat-us-Salafiyyah do to their harsh approach towards people and in claiming who is and who isn't a "Salafi".

@TawheedTaqwaa I did hear it but the questioner sounded like he said "or" in correction of himself meaning to say what followed "salafi or athari". Listen closely to it. But allahu alim, even if it is what the people including yourself say that it is saying to abandon the term and I am wrong then alhamdulillah. And may Allah reward you Amin but it still would not negate what all the others say like "al-albaani, bazmool, falah etc rahimahumullah" and many others say.

This is being misunderstood by viewers. Listen to the question. The questioner asks can one put as-salafi on his name. Like a person named Abdullah, so this person names himself "Abdullah as-Salafi" and this is a tazkiya for ones ownself. But the shaykh, may Allah preserve him, is not against salafiyyah. Rather it's the ignorant youtubers who are not focusing on what is being said.

So leave them in their confusion for a time." QURAN 23:52-54 This is what happened with Bani Israil. It is a warning to us to not follow them. Salafis think they are correct and everyone else is deviant. What this scholar said is the Haqq insha'Allah. Our religion is ONE al hamdulillah.
