Today my 2002 Skoda Fabia has reached 100,000 km mileage. In perfect shape of course!
Power steering warning light is on, nothing serious... video was recorded by a trained co-driver while driving on a closed course. Do not try this yourself!
Background track: Klute - Come Back To Me (came out 2006 - the same year I got myself this car - on SOUL-R)
Well, I am afraid it is quite a serious one. You should have it checked at Skoda service (or VW since they use the same diagnostics). My power steering worked fine until I reached the mileage of 90000 km. Then something happened and the light went on.A few days after noticing the warning light I noticed that the powersteering faints everytime I steer more than 90 degrees. Pain in the ass if you ask me - especially when it came to parking. I had to change the whole powersteering unit (expensive)

i can see that you have a warning light on your speedometer which looks like a problem from the steering wheel and i've got the same on my Skoda Fabia silverline 2003. do you think that is major problem or its normal thing. thanks

@shabbeall maybe you should try to steer more than 180 degrees quickly. If the powersteering is ok, it should be easy to turn the wheel and it should not stop or become hard to turn. My powersteering practically died everytime I had to steer quickly. And it became extremely dificult to turn the wheel at those situations.
