That last line is a twist on "Drill, baby drill" which was a 2008 campaign slogan.

Here's the problem, its not that we can't harness natural power like wind or light its that we need to replace the dinosaur of a battery source known as Lithium. Lithium is over 50 years old & can't hold enough power for clean electricity to work to its fullest. Find a new battery source & things like fully electric cars become more of a reality.

The commercial totally kills its message with that misogynistic last line.

With your paradigm, the commercial is not offensive. Thanks for opening my eyes a bit.
But I maintain that oil doesn't need to be demonized/demoralized/depicted in a negative light in the process of moving toward a future of cleaner electricity for all. Drilling for oil, refining it, and transporting it can't be that much dirtier of a business than mining, machining, transporting, erecting and maintaining wind farms, can it?

I see your point, but I do not see that person as representing oil workers. He instead represents underwater crude oil deposits; and getting them out is indeed a dirty business. Similarly, Windy represents wind power; she is not meant to represent how wind farm workers dress and act.

The lawyer denying everything has come true thanks to the gulf of mexico disaster. BP go off the hook completely, and it's the taxpayers who foot the bill.

the panels and the turbines collect more energy than is needed and it is put into what is essentially a battery for future use. New solar panels including the organic solar panels don't need direct sunlight to obtain energy either. The panels uses the energy that can penetrate clouds and that is still present after the sun sets.

I just have to say that depicting oil workers in such a light really pisses me off. I'm totally pro- wind/solar/hydro/geothermal energies, but I also realize that the way our infrastructure is designed we are wholly dependent on oil. To paint the men and women who risk their lives working in dangerous conditions to collect our fossil fuels for us as undesirable and filthy offends my senses as an American. You don't have to bully oil workers to make us realize wind is better. Shame on you.
