  • @Hoppersongs It sure was.

  • More please!!

  • really nice)))

  • This should be the answer to people who say that Bob Dylan can't sing.

  • @ohiodixiechick2 Dylan closes his eyes when he sings many of his emotional songs like this one. I've felt it's his way of putting himself in the situation he's singing about & transporting himself to that very moment in time which is why he's such a magnificant writer & singer. Dylan can take us/himself to another place in time. Part of his genius character. Joan has said she had to really concentrate when singing with Dylan due to his ability to change keys & phrases in the middle of a song.

  • It was written by Woody Guthrie.

  • I heard an interview with Pete Seeger where he talks about his inspiration for writing this song. It was a plane crash involving migrant farm workers being deported back to Mexico. The newspaper article didn't list their names, only that they were deportees.

  • I love this so much!!! Looks like Bobby is crying when he's singing, something you dont see in many later concerts :')

one thing that makes me sad is that neither of them look at the other.. not once :'(

  • So glad to see & hear this back up on YouTube! Thank you!!

One of my favorite Dylan/Baez songs!

They say Dylan is so hard to follow, but Joan & Emmylou always do a great job & I love to listen to both with Dylan.
