I was bored so I made a video dedicated to kickoff and punt returns for scores. These are ones I had copies of. There are several others (like Steve Breaston's kickoff against Minnesota and Martavius Odums' punt against Purdue) that I don't have.

  • @MLDWoody According to researchers, the new addition should adequately capture sound now. We shall see. But, yeah, audience involvement is definitely necessary to capture the full game experience. If some rallying tool is needed (a "stupid gimmick", as you put), so be it. Michigan's size is...and always will be...impressive. But 114,000 people on mute is less fulfilling than 30,000 screaming fans. In this humble commentator's opinion, anyway.

  • @giantkiller56 I'm a student here, so yeah. The Big House isn't built to hold in noise, it is just a hole in the ground. Why do we need some stupid gimmick to be considered good fans? That's just stupid. I suppose you want a mascot too? And we do have something where all the fans get involved, the wave. 114,000 person wave is pretty tricky.

  • @MLDWoody Seriously? Have you been to a Michigan game lately? Maybe it's because of the lack of "big games" on our schedule...I dunno...but the noise level at the Big House is not commensurate with its size. Also, there isn't a universal crowd involvement. Wisconsin has "Jump Around." Florida has their chomp. Michigan has silence. It's a pretty sad sight for the country's largest attendance.

  • @giantkiller56 I think you are just losing your hearing

  • @giantkiller56 you mean like how they are at 2:25?

  • @ 00:24: THAT'S the kind of crowd I miss at the Big House. I don't know what's happened to us over the years, but nowadays you can hear a pin drop in the stands. What happened to all the fan hysteria? Oh, to go back to THOSE days.

  • Big Ten Network is playing the 2005 Minnesota game this Monday night and will repeat it at least once.

I know you don't collect losses but you might want to tape that play.

  • breaston runs funny

  • This is great! Thanks for putting it together!

  • 4:25 That call on Alexander's punt return is the least exciting call for a kick return that I have ever heard.
