Nothing scientific, just some fooling around at the shop.
The cars were donated for training purposes, these won't be on the roads ever again.

  • ur hitting the hitting the end caps not the bumper

  • @erikhoeffner ....the caprice would annihilate that jeep ...ik i hit one in my caprice going like 25 mph ....i drove away the jeep didnt

  • @CarPro1993 lol, but a lifted xj... it would only hit a tire and bounce off... oh and a nice thick heavy duty offroad bumper helps to... Jeep- built not baught.

  • Like I've always said, you can't beat old, steel bumpers. Have an '83 Impala similar to one in vid. I get mine bent, I can get one from a wrecker for $100 or so.Try that with anything recent. BIG BUCKS!!! In '73, bumpers had to meet a 5 mph impact requirement (no damage to surrounding metal) in minor collisions. Several years ago, this was decreased to 2.5 mph to accommodate the flimsier, but MORE EXPENSIVE "modern" bumpers. Oh, they do "give" on impact, for the benefit of "crumple zone" freaks.

  • hahaha dude

  • Thats the bumper cap, not the bumper you idiots. Course its gunna bend your hitting the edge of it.
