september the 13th, Zagreb. Dayron Robles win in 13.00 (season best) and beats world champion Jason Richardson who set a new PB in 13.04. David Oliver is 3rd in 13.20
@PoliticalMastermind0 it's true but he apologised to liu but i wish they re run the race or something because liu xiang didnt really gain much out of that disqualification :/
@cnwodo Yeah i agree with you on how both of em had to face some sort of adversity but Robles still messed up Xiang's chance at a gold this year. I'm still absolutely pissed off about that. Although it might happen often in hurdles, there's no excuse for that in a final and especially with the world record holder.
@PoliticalMastermind0 if were speaking technically both are tied because both of their bests times this season is13:00secs, i see where you coming from though, but you have to remember robles also suffered an injury from the 2009 world championships so he had to work hard to get back to some sort of form too.
@cnwodo Sorry, I still think Liu Xiang was better this year. You have to think about how much he's had to do to come back from his injury in Beijing and to basically win worlds this year is impressive.
@PoliticalMastermind0 "STRATEGY " ha ha... it´s obviously a (strategy) to try and lay low as he always does. Anyways I guess we´ll have to wait for the olYmpics.
@Michelmontes82 Watch the race again chief, he hits hurdle 8 and tries to attack hurdle 9 with everything he's got. In the process he lets go of his form and hits Xiang. I'm being very realistic, Dayron fucked up!
@Michelmontes82 lmao "chances"? are you Liu Xiang's agent or something? How do you know what his situation is regarding what races he can enter, or what condition he is in physically right now to enter in races, or what his strategy is for London 2012? Again, think before you speak because none of us know the full story. So it's unfair to jump to conclusions. We can only judge what we've seen.
Robles his run was a lot cleaner than Richardson.
That's why I think Robles'll be the olympic champion in London.

@PoliticalMastermind0
but neither has liu xiang (dipped under 13 seconds this season) both are great but if both athletes are at the best robles will beat him.
