What did you do? Did you use Wine as root?

You should never run Wine with root privilegies!
Flatout 2 will work wine with Wine, just take it easy and start with a new wine prefix (WINEPREFIX=$HOME/path/to/new/wineprefix) to avoid problems with other software, and then check AppDB for comments about how to get it running. :)
