Lawd have mercy. I have had waves since I was little and I have never had to do all this. It doesn't have anything to do with what grease you put in your hair, how often you wash it, or how much you brush it. It's about training your hair to lay in a curly position. Just wear a du-rag everynight, and when you take the du-rag off of course brush it and then go on with your day. Over time the waves will come in. Brushing 20 minutes though? LOL wtf.

I don't do none of this bullshit. I use a brush, a durag, shampoo (it really dont matter), and vacelline. People think this is the best way to get waves when really the long method is the best way... the nutural way. Brush yo head (they got vids on youtube), and wash your hair, and also keep your scalp from going dry. That's all you gotta do. After that, it's just a matter of using your durag when you aint in public places, like the crib. Thats where I brush my hair & wrapup 3 times a day. V_V
