Because it's HIGHLY collectible and worth a lot of money .

Also,about this video, I'd say this is probably harmful to the Bakelite.Simichrome is the safe way to chemically test and it will also polish the piece and is harm free.

Why would you test if it's bakelite? It's still just plastic, the only think worth testing is if you have real gold.
