I remember playing this game for the first time and when it came to this scene, I dropped my controller and just stared in utter shock at the screen. When it became apparent that Aerith was in fact dead, I bawled my eyes out. Had to watch this happen 4 times in a row since Sephiroth killed me in the battle following. Watching her die over and over I think pissed me off enough to finally finish him off

@SalandFindles The game did a pretty good job of making you care about Aeris up to that point. It was powerful at the time. In 15 years, look back on the moments you feel are powerful now and they will have lost their luster too. I promise.
