Its funny how people have been convinced that illegals and poor people are our problem.
I have some news for you.
They have no power the illegals and less fortunate have just enough money to survive.
It's the people with the power that you should be worried about.

Funny 'cause it's true.

@grimcity We do live in Lousy-ana-stan, Grim... Here we just vote for whomever _probably_ isn't in the KKK, though I have my suspicions about Nagin...

I've emailed the Senator about this a couple of times, and she always responds with the typical "working within the private sector" schpeel.
I didn't get rude, but I did state flat-out that I'm convinced she's just another Vitter.
Do we have any progressive Dem politicians? All of our Dems are DINOS. Meh!

Landrieu will never defend citizens, she is a corporation lawyer in front of congress not really a senator.

It is an OPTIONAL insurance plan, as we all know and that means if I want to purchase this OPTION I can - the government is not just giving it out. We have insurance and I think those that object so much already have ins. and don't give a dam abt anyone else. Sad and sorry people out there.

Actually, the bill is written to leave illegal immigrants out of the government support part of the bill. It also increases computerization of records, which will cut down on both scams and the "legal" end of drug dealing (think "pain clinics in FL doling out oxycontin like candy and not recording it.") Besides, the public option is NOT the same as "public funding." It refers to who RUNS the plan. Some people will buy the public insurance with their $. Some will buy private with gov support.
why is it when the "christians" have to actually respect the teachings of their god they revert to the nastiest most self-centered "I got mine...Fuck you!" attitude?
These are your brothers and sisters and children.
Is this what you want from your neighbors when you need a hand?
Is this the kind of world you want? Let some child die because her mother works in a sweatshop in Texas?
Grow up and grow a heart.

So I'm looking for the quote of yours ""will approve or reject treatment for patients based on the cost per treatment divided by the number of years the patient will benefit from the treatment." in either the House or Senate Bill and I can't find it in either, but I did find it in other comments to article, So this leads me to wondering if that quote was just a scare tactic someone made up. If you can find it in the bill, I'd be interested, I
