The Radiant Voice of Barbara Bonney
sings In Trutina

In Trutina

In trutina mentis dubia
Fluctuant contraria
Lascivus amor et pudicitia
Sed eligo quod video
Collum iugo prebeo
Ad iugum tamen suave transeo

In Balance

In the wavering balance of my feelings
Set against each other
Lascivious love and modesty
But I choose what I see
And submit my neck to the yoke;
I yield to the sweet yoke.

    Good????

    You mean Great...right?

    Your welcome :)

  • I was lucky enough to perform the Carmina Burana in 2009, singing the first alto line, and it was a challenging work to sing.

This rendition of In Trutina is the best I've ever heard. It's rare for a song to never grow "stale" or becoming boring, and this is one of them.

The sign of a true classic song is when it sounds brand new each and overtime you hear it.

The same goes for Ms. Bonney's voice, it always sounds fresh and crystal clear...she is class :)

  • This is the best performance I ever heard of this song.

Probably is the best performance of ANY song i've ever heard indeed.

  • @polvalero

    I agree with you 100%

Ms Bonney is a inimitable singer and artist.

  • This is so incredible! So seldom recognized because of the other parts of the Carmina. She is crystal scattering on satin. Thank you for this.

  • What a voice! smooth as silk.
