2008 Great Dane Club of America National Specialty in Louisville, Kentucky. Thanks to everyone involved for putting on such a great dog show.
As you can tell, I'm partial to blue and black Great Danes.

Floppy ears are actually man made through breeding that fault in over and over again. There are not any wild natural floppy eared dogs. Just a little tid bit there, haha.

Interesting. Well...I guess I spend too much time with messy dogs. That stuff would be ruined in a heart beat.

the people that are REALLY dressed up (like the girl in the blue dress), that was for the top 20, which is like a huge thing. but the rest of the people in the ring in just normal suits and jackets are dressed up out of respect for the judge and the sport

I didnt know that.....I love my 6 month old .....he's sooo funny, and he would look so much cooler and TALLER with cropped ears, but I dont want to put him through it and have to go through the whole bandage thing. I'm new to Danes....thanks for the info.

I love danes, owning a blue myself, but the ear cropping doesnt really appeal to me......it only bennefits the owner, and is painful for the dog......It should be banned from shows.

Such pretty dogs. I've never understood the dress codes for these dog shows however. :XD
