@Thomasv71463 Actually, its pretty certain Jesus was born in the spring as determined by the given position of the stars and the events around the time of his birth.
The end of December was selected by the church much later on because it was the time of a pagan festival they could not completely stomp out, so they assigned it a Christian meaning to make it easier to simply turn a blind eye to it.
And I believe in Jesus and I love celebrating Christmas as his birthday.

@RonSafreed not all lefties are bad, just the political ones ... been a "lefty" -- as opposed to a "righty" -- all my life, i have problems with people always assuming that "right" is "good" and "left" is "bad"

The 25th is the best day to celebrate his birth because there is certainty of the correct actual date. I wanna tell you all that thinks you know everything that you are all wrong. There is no evidence to support that he wasn't born on the 25th and some studies shows to be at the beginning of January and Jews say it was in august but nobody knows exact but the almighty one. actually Jesus wasn't born on Christmas day he was born on the fifteenth of the Jewish month of Tishri (September & October) we just celebrate his birth on Christmas.

I miss the "real" Christmas. Where everyone said "Merry Christmas" instead of "Happy Holidays" & when your heart actually felt Christmas coming. When everyone acted like they knew each other, where everyones home smelled like cookies and chocolate. Where you get goosebumps when someone gives you a gift. Christmas sucks now!
