The ending of this episode always stuck with me, ever since I was a child.
The anticipation, the ominous computer voice saying "the User wins", the sheer silence that followed and the build-up as all the characters turned to Dot.
And that final tear coupled with her scream.
Those images have stuck in my head throughout most of my life.
That, my friends, is what you call masterful children's entertainment. One of the reasons why I've always felt that this series deserved more respect.
