The best defense is knowledge and preparedness, Don't place yourself in a situation of potential danger, be aware of your surroundings, keep an eye out for potentially awkward menacing people. If they look out of place they usually are!
Don't walk alone, know what to do to get away from a predator in a survival situation, whether it be a person or an animal. Your brain is your best weapon against being a victim!

Seeing this video made me lose my faith in those things. If all it made that test subject, who was
1) not angry/not pumped up/not drunk/not on drugs
2) Did not even look like he could take a proper punch even if he was...
If he can take a million volts and just giggle , ...what will a pumped up street hood do? THE SAME THING.
Sigh, electric weapons are illegal in my state anyways.
