This program explores the cultural adaptations people make when they move to a new place. Children of Tibetan exiles now living in Madison attend a culture school to learn Tibetan language and music, and their families practice religion and celebrate holidays in the Tibetan tradition. A nomadic life presents many obstacles for families of Mexican-American migrant workers, but they cope by having strong family ties and placing an emphasis on education and spiritual faith.
