Corinth City Council wants to destroy the trees along Church Street. Why not repave the existing road with asphalt, construct a sidewalk on the north side of the road, and keep the trees? This retains the aesthetics of Church Street while providing a natural barrier between it and the sidewalk. Once again, this issue is not about trees. Its about aesthetics and quality of life. This is about the historical relevance of a street that the citys founders travelled to attend church services in the early years of Corinths township. This is about the unnecessary expenditure of our tax dollars. The next city council meeting is on May 21st, 2009 at 7 p.m. Council meetings are held at city hall located at 3300 Corinth Parkway. Your attendance is vital. Please attend this meeting and sign up to voice your concerns. For more information, please email us at citizensofcorinth@yahoo.com.
