  • Hahaha like father like son, how much are these in the USA

  • @MrCool621 Thanks for your comment. I am glad you enjoyed myself and Tom in my R500 Caterham. However, I am sorry I now idea how much Caterham's cost in the USA. I believe there are some issues with emissions of the engines, so you would need to speak to the local importer to see how to buy a Caterham in the USA.

  • Seriously @Rabbitstoper is there any need for the language or attitude towards Nigel whose just clearly showing us some quality time between him and his son!? Please show a little respect an grow up.

Nigel, cranking video, was seconds away from paying the deposit for my R500 today but bottled it at the last minute, that was at Caterham Midlands

  • @trackdaynova , thanks for the support and comments. I am not worried about people who have different opinions on my R500 compared to other sports cars that they are passionate about, I welcome eveyone's view, even if some can be a bit blinkered!! You should get yourself back over to see Nick at Caterham Midlands and get your deposit down. If you are local I will give you a trip anytime, just to get an every day owners viewpoint. You could still have a massive amount of fun in a R300 though!

  • @TheRabbitstoper , why would I want to put an inferior and lower power cheap japanese engine with only 240HP into my car, when mine already has 263HP, I also don't like the high power band nature of the Jap VTEC engine either, I am very happy with my Caterham Tuned and Reliable Ford Engine!! Thanks!!

  • @TheRabbitstoper I am sorry I don't know much about Honda engines, but as you say they are very good in Ariel Atoms. They have just never been used in standard build Caterhams, but I am sure they could be made to fit. I am also not a fan of Turbo Charged engines, although there is now a supercharger kit for the Ford Duratec Engine in my car, which should take it up to approx 300 BHP, better start saving my pennies!!

  • You genuinely look like Will Ferrell when you're concentrating, haha! Great car, and a great video!

  • Haha great stuff

  • @nigelpugh7 also why do people buy a lotus for 10 grand and then put a k20 engine in it? and why does the ariel atom have a honda engine if fords are as good as you think they are then they should of used the ford zetec surely? I don't want to piss on your bonfire but if you payed how ever much lets say 25 grand for that i bet you I could buy and make a f20c powered caterham for half that and it would rape you caterhams ass and just make you look a C*%T keep you ford engine your loss

  • @nigelpugh7 no offence or anything but you can't know much about engines , the vtec engine and inparticular the f20c has one of if not the highest bhp per liter and with a light tune i.e intake exhaurst system and a remap you would be getting 280hp easy and it will rev right up to 9000rpm with headwork 10000rpm and if you go turbo then your talking big big power Jap engines are not as cheep as you think untill you have hit VTEC you will never understand the feeling
