This is from exmuslim879 who examines Qur'anic quotes and verses from the Koran or Quran. We are going to look at these quotes compared to the claims of many Muslims that this proofs that Muhammad knew about things that later became scientific facts, but the science and Islamic text does not really mix.

@Arsehel quoting the sun setting in murky water and not correcting it, is what i said was misguiding 39 :5 it is said that he wraps the day over the night and vice versa it has nothing to do with the earth and we say wrap a book even though it is not spherical and the verse gives a geocentric view read it and see and says nothing of the rotation of the earth which 3rd i have heard sura I WONT BE REPLYING ANY MORE YOU MAY REPLY TO THIS . @CYBERJITH Why do you think it's misguiding when he says in several verses that the earth is not flat, like in surah 39:5 , where the word 'wraps' is used. As when you wrap a taco or a turban around a head which is round. People had to know that Allah was meaning that the earth is not flat.

Allah is not making it easy,the verses are not that simple, they are signs. If you believe that there is a god, then islam has the extremist evidence you will ever see, i swear.

Have you ever heard a sura?

2nd what i meant was when the quran describes about the earth why not tell its spherical it could have been very useful , it could have been a clear sign all i am saying is that god is an extreme cliam and it requires extreme evidence

@CYBERJITH No, if someone quotes somebody else that doesn't mean the quoter does agree with it. Somehow when it comes to islam and quran you think the opposite, you claim that everything that's quoted is spoken as truth by God.

2nd, that verse about a carpet was not talking about the earth but about land. How he spread the land just like a carpet, because if God willed, he could set mountains everywhere.

If you just could search islam in stead of searching misconceptions about islam.

@Arsehel i am not telling it to prove anything all i am telling is that when it talks about the sun setting in murky water it could give a SIGN that the earth goes around the sun or when it talks about the earth being stretched or carpet like it could give a SIGN that it is spherical if it tells of the bigbang why wouldn't it tell these simple things, these things were not known so it was not told

The quran is a book of guidance, the scientific verses helps people to understand that the quran is the word of Allah.

Almost after each scientific verse, Allah says, "This is a sign for the ones who can think". A

1 why doesn't the quran tell the world is spherical and 2 the earth revolves around the sun and 3 the sun is a star [even though the sun being a star was proposed by few long before Christ] why cant it CLEARLY say these 3 simple things
