  • @TheChuster i beg to differ. genetics don't control every decision a person makes in a given day. buuuuut, if you chalk those features up as genetics, then we (in a roundabout way) agree.

  • @mcoates04 inner motivation, courage, and determination is genetics lol. the other 10 percent goes to environment

  • @saviemac so just because someone has heart they should win? You're right I suppose. Burcham has no heart training all year round doing insanely tough workouts three to four times a week, and there was no way of knowing how "big" Burcham's heart was considering he didn't have to try anything special to win...

  • @TheChuster that is so untrue it's barely worth responding to. you tell that to the olympians who spend every waking (and sleeping) moment dedicated to their fitness/health. genetics gives you a foundation and def relates to your ability, but 90% of runnning?!? inner motivation, courage, determination -- those account for more than 10%

  • @leomie88 pounding the ground isn't immature. it's an expression of emotion. if you can't understand that, i don't know what to tell you. pounding the ground repeatedly and refusing to leave the track would be immature.

  • pretty cool he goes to my school

  • Doughty should've won?!!! you kidding?? Bottom line, he ran a strategic race that blew up in his face. He sat on Jacob, and tried to kick in the front straight. Too bad the kid with the BIGGER heart kicked as well...Doughty hitting the ground i think was more in frustration for making that critical error in the last 200. Nothing against him but i dont think i would call it 'heart'. Jacob had more heart--he won!!

  • I know exactly how Doughty, (the 2nd place finisher) feels. I missed making states in the mile by 2 seconds, and the 2 mile by 1.5 seconds. Trust me, it tears you apart to be so close and yet not make it.

  • @AOowns61094 check runwv.com

  • Anyone know the time?
