Perhaps the GOP should shed off the courting of the (thankfully) dwindling narrow-minded churchie "marriage is between a man and a woman! stop abortions!" crowd and stick to fiscal issues that generally have had much more broad appeal. Oh, and perhaps actually having members in office with the balls to not go with pork barrel projects put in popular bills can help the party as well.
