Yes you will find that it is often spelled with an "o" depending on where your from and how you were taught to spell it. Neither way is really truly incorrect. Even popular horse tack catalogs list them as "Longe" lines, depending on the catalog.

@Sabbie241 Really? So what do YOU call what he is doing starting at 43 seconds? This was one of his first few times cantering, you don't push him, you let him do as many steps at the canter as he feels comfortable and then let him stop on his own, which he did after about four strides.

@Sabbie241 LOL! Then I am sad for you when you go to a show and they ask for canter and you trot thinking you're doing it right. ...Again, wach the video, at exactly 43 seconds he takes a few strides at the canter. If you can't see it.............. lol......... thats all I have to say.

Is he only 2 years old?? If so, you realise that you most likely hurt his growth and body? Wait till he's at least 3 y.o. before you ride him... please..
