we had the same Maytag machine for a good 25 years, never a problem, even original belt, no leaks. Replaced the timer once. They don't make them like that anymore thats for sure

I would suqqest you using a filter flo over flow so it will clean the water in that maytag comment on hotpoint lol tat is cool

This era of Maytag's were clearly king.
The most reliable with simple operation, I do remodeling & have been in many homes where these
are still in service.I believe the only real worthy advance these days is capacity.
