Totally agree that an Excellent wife is a crown to her husband. However this is not so to an abusive husband, who treats her as an object to be possessed, owned, controlled and used. The crown represents his pride that he can treat her any way he wishes. I don't want wives thinking if they are married to this type of man, they must respect (which they interpret as approval) them. This is NOT biblical submission, nor is it a meek and gentle spirit, to be a door mat!
