Chris Drew - Protests Chicago's Peddlers License- Street Artist Adventures

Chris Drew has been fighting to repeal the 1994 Chicago Peddler's license which prohibits aritists to sell their art in Chicago. This video shows Chis on location downtown selling art, being interviewed by WBBM AM Radio 780.
He was arrested at first for peddling charges,(which were dropped) then for FELONY EAVESDROPPING! for Audio taping Police during his own arrest.

Great work! I wonder if the authorities would care if he were selling his art in Logan Square, Humboldt Park, or Pilsen. Chris seems to hitting a raw nerve in Chicago's "green zone."

Actually, what Chris Drew is doing is the essence of free speech. When will Pres Obama do something about the fact that his political base, Chicago, has one of the nation's most restrictive policies on artists' freedom of speech, a policy that runs counter to the US Constitution and the laws of many other states?

I have a question? So can we assume that it would be illegal to video tape and record a political rally? Let’s say Obama’s Presidential Victory speech, how many people where there in Chicago in Grant Park with video cameras recording his speech. I’m sure it was in the thousands, just YouTube it. If this man is arrested for such, then all the people who recorded Obama’s Presidential Victory Speech should be arrested as well.

Cops really are worthless. While they were arresting this poor man, several murders were occurring on the other side of town.
