If you're playing this for your diploma, thumbs up.

Is the guy in the picture trying to lift the piano cover up just using his chin??? Or is he trying to sniff the sound coming out?

@ddodgers030 bach tuned lower than we do today, it was approximately 1 semitone down. They also didnt have equal temperament, which means that the same thing trasposed from C major to E major didnt sound the same

maybe it slipped after 300 years

any idea why it's c# minor? It was originally noted by bach in d minor!

I hear the harpshicord and I guess its a new one - is it true?

@oklahomma Perhaps people with his amount of talent are aloud to be jerks. Sure there are many great improvisers of the piano, some a lot better than Jarrett. Who knows, i do see your point though.

@mrpolaroid123 At one performance an audience member coughed during a silence. Jarrett walked off the stage and refused to play anymore. At another, the audience clapped for an encore. He went up to the mic and said "I gave you dinner. How dare you ask for desert." Then he left. He is also a complete self centered jerk. Get the idea?

Lucky bastard!
I play this piece. It's incredibly beautiful, and I especially love hearing it played on a harpsichord.
