  • she has drank the no low carb diet koolaide I have been on a low carb diet since 1998. I am not deprived I am healthy . brought my AIC to 6.00

Dr Bernstein is a DT1 who has to take insulin ever day and he seems to be in good control

  • I'm a type 1 diabetic and my dietician told me I would go into "starvation mode" on my low carb diet. I asked her: Is it that I'm in "starvation mode" or is it that most Americans are in "Stuff your fat face mode". Anyway, she admitted that my A1c was lower than hers. Dr. Bernstein is a god.

  • @Gary1111001 NO ONE has a cure for diabetes.

The medicine industry groups diseases with different causes and mechanisms under the label diabetes. The disease characterized by underproduction of insulin is called type 1, while overproduction of glucagon, epinephrine, cortisol, or growth hormone that causes elevated BG are collectively called type 2 diabetes.

Much of the debate over management protocols would die down if the diseases were renamed to match their causes, not their symptom.

  • @psdaengr I'm not a fan of either debater, or the medical industry.

low carb may "work" getting you off insulin, but Diabetes is being Cured by Dr. Neil Barnard & Dr. Graham (without the bad effects) and go on to achieve true health through healthy food they can now eat(the problem is insulin receptors being blocked).

  • @O2bnTX2 ,,, She not only drank the koolaide, she apparently has stock in koolaide (aka metformin) This woman appears stupid...

Love what Dr.Davis, a Milwaukee cardiologist says about her: "What is surprising here is that there are several dozen studies demonstrating the clear metabolic advantages--reduced HbA1c, reduced triglycerides, increased HDL, reduced small LDL--of reduced carbohydrate diets. Any suggestions for what Ms. Warshaw should have with her baked crow? "

  • The issue isn't Dr B., Weight W. Jenny or others. All you have to do is work on your self esteem. Start being your own best friend again. Tell yourself good things for a change. say you like yourself daily over and over again. Start a work out routine. That could be something simple like 30 pushups 30 situps daily. Give up fast food and drink lost of water. And get on some serious vitimines and you'll be feeling and looking great in no time

  • Look up Zoe Harcombe's site, she's also trained and certified in Nutrition and she realizes what the truth is, and tells it as it is.

She also mentioned "When I am asked to recommend a course on nutrition I can’t. I am not aware of a single programme being offered anywhere in the world, which is evidence based and which presents facts, rather than the current myths presented as facts."

Nutritionists are taught things that are NOT true, and perpetuate unhealthy myths.

  • lady is moron--as are most

  • @gphx That is exactly who she is funded by. Pharma and big food companies ("food" meaning that processed junk in the stores that is most profitable and least like actual food). Go to Diabetes dot org and search for their corporate sponsor page. Youtube won't let me post the link here.

  • I definately believe low carb diets work for controling weight & diabetes. But, I Do NOT believe in the whole evolution THEORY bit. God is our creator & he did not create us to eat loads of sugar & processed foods. He did NOT create processed foods, they are man made foods. Moderation in all things. I believe a low carb diet can incorporate some occassional fruits but again in moderation. Oh & when you have an illness or conditiion you should not consume the foods that make you worse.

  • @Stonewalljackson7 If we don't eat protein or fat we die. If we don't eat carbohydrates our body makes what we need. Dietary carbs are unnecessary. Glad what you're doing is working for you but I'd rather see your A1C below 5.0.

  • That lady is ridiculous. Whole wheat bread has a higher glycemic index than table sugar. Check out the Big Fat Fiasco video.
