  • @AbyssCrown Politicians like Gravel are part of the problem, not the solution. Both major parties are to blame. I am not a Republican or Democrat. I despise them both for what they have done to this country and the methods they have used to do it. i come from dirt poor poverty. The choice was mine which road to take. I dug my way out and it wasn't easy. You have no idea of my past. Many Blacks have done the same. Blacks choose their own fate. No one would make excuses for me.

  • @AbyssCrown Put them under your subjective microscope. You will find a revealing history. Every country having a large population of Blacks suffers the same fate. Making excuses for them escalates the problem Murders, rapes, robberies and prison. They refused to pull themselves up, instead, choosing to wallow in their own sewer. They have every chance to change and it doesn't work. 50% drop out rate in schools...Their choosing. Robbing, murder, drugs, etc.

  • @kenzo5716 (2) I do know that the news media and politicians like to favor a particular race in order to get ratings or win votes. Personally, I think attaching a race to an issue only makes it more political, diverts from the topic at hand, and makes people think with their emotions (on both sides) and not their brains. I was more so just defending the point Gravel was trying to make, racial talking points aside.

  • @kenzo5716 I'm not making excuses for people who commit crimes, but it is the right thing to do to study as to why they did them, and try to prevent them from doing them again and other people from doing them.

  • @AbyssCrown Not a good analogy at all. Listen, you are obviously a good person. I don't want to argue with you. You can frame the problem any way you wish. The resulting stats will not change. The media won't report the DOJ info. They like things the way they are. Paul Sheehan, a respected journalist for the Sydney Morning Herald. In 1995 he wrote "Race War, Black Against White". Google it. That was 17 years ago and it's worse now. Read it and stop making excuses for these criminals.

  • @kenzo5716 Obviously, not all crimes committed by blacks are drug related, but that does not mean that the negative effects of the War on Drugs must effect only drug related issues. If you cut someone's feet off with the intention so they can't walk up stairs, the effect is going to be more than their inability to walk up stairs.

  • @AbyssCrown No, he was acted "shocked" at the number of Blacks in prison. The Senator is not stupid. He knows the DOJ stats on Black crime and the nature of them. He's a good actor, and many Blacks get sucked in to voting for these double-minded politicians. I'm not fooled. The so-called "war on drugs" is a joke, but Blacks choose to enter the game, use violence and not all violent crimes committed by Blacks are drug related. For instance, Blacks rape over 30,000 White women yearly.

  • @kenzo5716 (2) But I do agree he was trying to appeal to black voters, which is quite distasteful, however, at the very least his point was correct and valid. Not that gives him a pass.

  • @kenzo5716 Yes, and he was not saying or even implying black people are being put in prison simply for being black. He said it very clearly, that things like the War on Drugs are not working and making things worse, and the black community, in America, are taking the brunt of the negative effects.

  • @AbyssCrown No, you lie. Gravel is the one who stated that 70% of prison population were African American. He said it, not me. I was commenting on what he said, because he tries to put people under the impression that he was somehow appalled at the stats and inferring that is was unfair. He was pandering to Blacks on this issue and that was the tone he took. I was merely pointing out the reason they were in prison. When reviewing the DOJ "Cimes by Race" stats, it's obvious why.
