Mark's Place Battle of the Bands

Thank yous go out to the nine bands that competed, their fans and fans of original rock music for helping Mass Cann raise over $1,500 to fight marijuana prohibition at the 2008 Mass Cann Battle of the Bands held at Mark's Rock Club, 390 South River Rd., Bedford, NH.

Mass Cann recommends support of original music. Please go see these bands and tell them you heard about them from Mass Cann.

Each band had 25 minutes to impress the five judges. Immediately after each performance the judges marked scorecards 1 - 5 in four categories: Originality; Musicianship, Performance and Crowd Response.. A perfect score would be 100 points.

Crimson Bile, from Taunton/Easton.

Mortis Deveia, a self described 5 piece Death Metal band Hailing from the ghettos of Lawrence.

The battle was close, but with 96 points Northern Pike won the battle and the honor of performing at the Boston Freedom Rally, September 20.
