  • I am not comparing Deaf with Jews as a religion, but Jews as a culture. Jews do have a culture. There are Jewish people who identify culturally with Jewish culture, but do not practice the religion. Many people think of the religious aspect without realizing there is a cultural aspect to being Jewish.

As for the CI part, you did not pay attention to what I said. It depends on your reasons and what you do with the CI. If you are still supporting Deaf values and norms otherwise, then fine.

  • @DrDonGCSUS But you said still technically breaking the value, but still part of us. That what I didnt like about all of this. Yes i do understand the cultural of being jewish, Sometimes it is not good thing to compare because of religion always end up in ugly arguements. As for being CI users we still have to accept them regardless what the problem is.

  • Hi!

When you plan on getting CI, it will not change the way I feel about you or see you. I will see you as the same person who just wears CI because you will always be Deaf and part of us.

    Just don't go anywhere =o)

    Hugs
