  • The music, clothes and characters. Its not a war film its an art film that focuses on Dylan Thomas' life which was around the 1940's so i understand why some cant bear it because it doesnt show the time that well but i love the story and the art in it. Plus anything with Cillian Murphy in gets my vote.

  • I didnt find it disappointing in fact its one of my favorite films, its REALLY GOOD and this trailer doesnt give it justice. Watch it and youl see it is really lovely and the costumes are gawjus!

  • You've got a raindrop running down your cheek, just like a tear <3 omg if someone said that to me id lose it xD

  • The only positive in this movie was in my opinion Sienna Miller (an actriss I actually didn't liked after Casanova, The interview...) but I love her play in this movie and the role she has is the only interesting. I don't know if Keira was the reason the character Vera stayed trivial and (for me) unlikeable. Although I couldn't understand why Dylen's loved by all the women, I just didn't get it, as he played perfectly the egocentric, idle, good-for-nothing asshole.

  • The film creates a perceived nostalgia and sentimental approach to the 'bohemian' world of the characters. I think it's important that literary icons such as Dylan Thomas are represented on film. However, I think a 'specific' Dylan Thomas biopic would have been more entertaining and thought provoking. Keira Knightley was badly cast, but then again, I understand her mother wrote the script.

  • @regine5 That's not really what it's about. And quite frankly, that is what most friendships between grown women are like. I've had my fair share of friendships like that and, granted, they don't often last. And no, it's not about Dylan Thomas, solely -- it's about the "friendship" (as you say) between the two women he cared about the most.

But yes, Cillian Murphy did save the movie. It sure wouldn't have been the same without him.

  • Keira Knightley and Sienna Miller do good Swansea accents! And I should know, I'm from there! :L

  • uff se ve mundiaL!!

  • Great Movie <3

  • but even he has unbearable lines:"Is that a raindrop running down your cheek. .."

    (0. 48) This is so tweeeeeee... I am sorry tosay

  • Unfortunately I found this film boring---which is a hard thing to say about a film about Dylan Thomas. But then:is it about Thomas???? It is a film about a silly "friendship" between two women who aren't really interested in each other--just in who has slept with whom, and then they start to giggle! This is not what real friendship between women is about!

Admittedly and luckily, Cillain Murphy is the brilliant actor one knows him to be -he is somewhat saving the day...
