  • The Neil Gow is still the nicest sounding of your pochettes - good warm tone :-)

  • Thanks Jerry. In the same room, however, the Adventurer II sounds better. We have to get a good in-doors recording of the Adventurer II. All we have out there how is the festival recording by Edward Charity...he was ill when he was playing and the sound is coming from the sound system in that video.

  • Very good ! What strings do you have on this instrument ? The sound is great !

  • Sorry about the delayed reply. The strings are Helicore mediums...not exactly what they were using in the 18th century, but they sound nice on the instrument. Most of this model that we make are strung with steel or gut, but period appropriate.

  • No problem. The instrument sounds great. I just wish that recession hadn't kicked-in. Discretionary spending ain't what it used to be. But I'll start to save up !! Thanks.
