@Kingofdragons117 It seems idiotic, but the muskets will not accurate enough to reliably hit a lone person more than a few meters away. They were accurate to use against large groups of people. It is much easier to direct a large column of soldiers in battle than a whole mess of people spread out all over the place. Additionally, the effect of dozens of men with muskets standing perfectly in line and firing all at once was terrifying for the enemy.

@Kingofdragons117 Was a brave way to fight, stupid or not those guys had balls. But in the revolutionary war the american troops used pretty good tactics by hiding in trees and ambushing from hideaways and houses to attack the british, which was considered dirty but it worked.
