Wow! Haven't heard this song in over 50 years. So long, in fact, I forgot who sang it (if I ever even knew; I was only 8 years old when the song came out). When I was growing up in Orangeburg, NY -- an old Army camp during WW II -- there was an abandoned, white-painted brick building us kids used to hang out in as one of our "forts." We called it Dracula Hall after the song because we thought it was haunted. Or at least that was the rumor we spread, hopefully to keep other kids away.
