Laser Scanning for authentic 3D animation

Remnant Studios objective was to create an amazing Computer Generated production. The FARO Laser Scanner and the FARO Laser ScanArm were helpted Remnant to use as little traditional hand animation or modeling as possible. Instead they were able to rely heavily on automated processes such as motion capture and laser scanning to produce 3D animation.

The animation was created using the Pointools software.

The possibilities of what can be accomplished in a short amount of time were greatly enhanced.
