Mark Gilston sings a humorous Christmas song accompanied on English concertina.
I first heard this song sung by Barry O'Neill who got it from the singing McNulty's. I recently discovered that the song was written in 1883 by Charles Frank Horn of Middleport, Pennsylvania. My words are not the same as the McNulty family sings (nor Barry who sang "There were chickens, cloves and berries"). I found a text about a year later in an old Irish songster and learned the words from that.
