When we develop our understanding of the REAL problem, to the extent that we have the courage to demand that the governments of these poor countries actually do something about poverty themselves, instead of stealing aid money, lining their own pockets & blaming the west, we will have a coherent debate.
Until then all we can do is perpetuate the benevolent version of Christian colonialism by partonising them.
Trade with developing nations should be conditional upon genuine, verifiable reform.
