@klimtkiller: I was there me too and I can assure you being in the middle of that
was all except than fun indeed. Hope never to be in such a messy and dangerous
situation. In those neverending forty-five minutes sources of danger were plenty and
infact nine people lost their life (two children included) and three hundred had quite bad injures. Think before writing such things as the one you wrote.
i remember looking back from my balcony at the rest of Buda, and i saw i big lot of dust rushing towards my face. everyone was rushing indoors like a wave of people. :) the storm was very fun for me.
I watched the whole spectacle safely from my window up on the buda hill. It was not a pretty sight, and I can't imagine what the people downtown went through. It's kinda like the 2004 Tsunami: the authorities knew the storm was coming (from the weather forecasts) and decided to go on with the celebrations anyway.
I was that day working in Budapest and at the Vaci utca Mc Donald's in minutes has got full with people because the have running away and looked for shelter.
DUDE THAT DAY WAS COOL! THAT STORM WAS REALLY A PANIC! TO BAD A COUPLE OF PEOPLE DIED... I was right next too the river, it was almost impossible to get anywhere cuz I was at the front!
