Sorry, VP-10 is by far the best squadron in the Navy. Not only the best P-3 squadron, but THE best squadron!

Maybe VP10 is the best NOW, but back in the day, 1969-79, it was VP-50 out of Moffett; Blue Dragons! And if you go through SERE now, for VP (or EP) duty, well - that's easier than it used to be.

There is allot more to this than this video lets on, and there has been big-big trouble in Ensign land for over 15 year now. I love the P3, but what is going on with the crews & training is ROTTEN all to Hell.

I have never heard of a P-3 making a landing, emergency or otherwise, on an aircraft carrier. There was, however, a C-130, that is now at the museum in Pensacola, that was used in testing the C-130's capabilities as a COD. Of course, the C-2 beat it out for the job. The Hercules holds the record for the largest and heaviest aircraft to land on an aircraft carrier.
